Guess who is Rolling Over!!!

Chloe started rolling over yesterday! Once she started, she didn't stop ~ literally! She rolled over every chance she got. She was so proud of herself and her new accomplishment! She would roll over, grin from ear to ear, and then give her acceptance speech as if she had just won the gold medal for rolling over! (She is babbling & cooing all the time now ~ she has truly found her voice) And you know the proud parents we are, we were snapping pictures and videoing every moment...even when she rolled over and the spit up EVERYWHERE! LOL!

Look at that form!

Did I do that!?!?!?

The acceptance speech! :) We will spare you the spit up that followed!

In Remembrance...

This past Friday, Chris' Dad, Don, lost his battle with cancer. Obviously, the past few days have not been easy. It's times like these that I tend to reflect and do a lot of thinking. I have learned that you must hold tight to your faith and the ones you love. I take comfort now in knowing that Don is in no more pain and is finally free of such a horrible disease. In sorrow, as hard as it is, I have learned to take a look around at all the amazing gifts God has given me. I look at my husband, who I ADORE, and am so incredibly thankful; I look at my daughter, who is my heart, and cry with joy; I look at our Moms, our brothers, our families and dear friends, and thank God for the blessing of them. I have learned that in sorrow, you can find a reason to smile again, a reason to be happy again...sometimes you just have to wipe your tears, open your eyes, and take a look around. God's blessings are abundant. In the brochure for Don's services, they picked the 23rd Psalm...I know many of you know this one by heart, but for those who aren't that familiar, I just feel called to share. It is a great source of comfort and strength in times like these. Many continued blessings to you and yours.

The Twenty-Third Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd: I shall not want:
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the
paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
though anointest my head with oil:
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow
me all the days of my life: and I will
dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Kingsport Shower ~ Family Reunion!

We are so very thankful that we have such wonderful families! My cousin Heather, my Aunties, and Missy all threw Chloe a truly MEMORABLE baby shower in Kingsport the first weekend in March. We were also fortunate because all my Aunts & Uncles were there along with most of my cousins. I cannot say enough great things about my family...we are a big, but very close family...and over the years we have continued to grow. Growing up these were the most influential people in my life ~ they have supported me, loved me, and made my childhood amazing. I am so blessed and grateful that God has surrounded me with such a wonderful family and great friends. Here are a few pictures from the shower and our evening out...a HUGE THANK YOU to my cousin Heather, my Aunties, Missy, and my Mom for such a special weekend! We love you all!
Chloe passed out right before we took this pic.
Here is Tiffany and her daughter Miss Addison ~ she is SO CUTE! Thank you for being such a wonderful friend all these years! You are the best!

Here is Kristen and Karson Osborne...Karson was such a great present-opener-assistant! Thank you Karson!

Here is my cousin Heather...she's more like my sister really. :) I am trying to convince her to become a party planner...the shower was PERFECT! WE LOVE YOU!

Here is my other cousin, Katherine...she LOVES babies! I told her that she and Matt are next! :)
Did I mention that Katherine LOVES babies?!?!? LOL! Chloe fell sound asleep in her arms...this is one of my favorite pics.
Here I am showing Chloe some of her gifts. She was a perfect angel!

Here is Daddy with Auntie GG and Chloe.

Here is Nana B.B. with Miss Chloe. We had just gotten to the restaurant that night for a huge family dinner. Times like this bring back so many memories...I sure do miss the old days at Mama Jane's & Daddy Charlie's with everyone. At least we are all still together...and now with a new generation of wild ones ~ and I do mean WILD ONES! :)
Speaking of the 'Next Generation of girls,' here they are...this is not all of them, but some. Look at how well behaved! Seriously though, they can get rowdy...but they come by it honestly...you'll see what I mean in a little further down.

Here is good old Brooksie...look how handsome...he did so well with all his girl cousins. His Nintendo DS helped out too. :) What a trooper.

OK, so someone got the 'bright idea' to have pictures made of all my Mom's brothers and sisters. I cannot tell you how many pictures I had to take that ALL ~ literally all ~ turned out like this one. No exaggeration, I'll bet I took 10 or more before I got one really good one. Like I said, the 'Next Generation' comes by it honestly...there is no stopping this rowdy bunch! LOL!

Here it is, the one good picture I got.

Now of course, the 2nd Generation, knows how to pose on command! These are some of my cousins...by no means all of them. Hard to believe we are all grown up and starting families of our own. Time flies!

Chris' 30th Birthday

Chris turned the big 30, February 19th. For his birthday, Mimi treated the family to dinner, as long as Chris wore his new "I'm 30" shirt and put his pinata on the front door! No, we didn't bust the pinata yet...since I am turning the big 30 in June, we are going to fill it with candy then and we are both going to bust it together.

Mimi with both of her babies. :)
Chloe was just grinning up a storm for Mimi this day.

Chloe LOVES her rattles!

Chloe has discovered her rattles and she LOVES them. She loves to hold them that is...she hasn't quite figured out that she can shake them. When we shake them for her she looks as though she is in shock! LOL! Oh how the simple things in life make her the happiest! We are so thankful that she is such a happy baby!

She finally started to figure out she can shake them. :)

Playing Catch Up!

Whew...we are finally back to blogging. We have had a lot going on in the Rogers' household these past few weeks. Hopefully we can get caught up on our blogging in the next few days, so here goes nothing! My friends Laura Beth and Amy threw a baby shower for Chloe at Amy's house at the end of February! The food was FABULOUS and the company was WONDERFUL (my best friends and some of their mom's)! We had such a great time! A HUGE thank you to my dearest friends ~ you all are the bestest! Hope you enjoy the pics!

These are my trusty present-opener-assistants, Luke & Eli!

This is Emily & her oldest son, Luke...look how precious!

On the mend...FINALLY!

I started back to work part time this past week. However, Chloe & Mommy have been under the weather since Wednesday. Yes, this is the first time she has been sick. Unfortunately, Mommy caught her stomach bug too. :( And HORRIBLE it was! We both wound up at the doctor on Wednesday...Chloe even had to go back on Friday ~ just to check her out before the weekend. We are both recuperating...slowly but surely. A huge THANK YOU to Daddy who has taken excellent care of us both! He's such a trooper...two sick ladies at home and he didn't miss a beat ~ we are so blessed to have such a wonderful man to take good care of us! We will post more pics soon...we have tons to share!
