Happy 1st Father's Day!

For Father's Day we had the best day just the three of us. Chloe got to play in her pool for the first time too! What a wonderful day!

Just sleepin' up in her room...

OK, so this made me bawl my eyes out ~ like a baby! Chloe still sleeps in her portable crib (not for much longer because she is almost too big) in our room. However, I thought it best to ween her from sleeping in our room by having her take her naps upstairs in her room. So the other day we went up and played in her room and opened some more toys; I let her lay in her 'big girl' crib while I ran downstairs to take the trash out and when I got back upstairs this is what I found...my baby sound asleep in her 'big girl crib.' I was so proud of her...and so sad too. I have and will continue to cherish every moment, but this one really got to me. Clearly apparent that I am going to have a hard time weening myself from Chloe. There exists no sweeter a blessing than the blessing of a child. God is so good!

Bath time has gone to the ducks!

I will tell you one thing...they did not have cool toys like this when I was little. Chloe can sit up on her own now, so she got to try out her giant bath time duck...it even quacks when you squeeze it's beak...seriously! She had so much fun ~ despite the lack of 'smiles.' She appears to have developed a case of 'camera shyness,' but trust me, she had the best time!

(If you look close enough, you case see her two new bottom teeth! I sure hope her top ones don't come in back to back like these too ~ it was rough on her.)

Something old made fresh and new!

Mimi is so creative! She took the toy box Chris used as a little boy and updated it for Chloe! Is this not gorgeous! Thank you Mimi ~ you are so thoughtful!

Never say Never...

Poor Chloe has been all out of sorts since she started cutting her 2nd tooth...which I might add started coming in right after the first tooth popped through. Needless to say she had a rough week last week. I got up to get ready for work this past Friday and Daddy's duty began. Chloe had gotten us up several times the night before absolutely miserable because of her teeth. We always swore we would 'never' let her snooze in our bed. But we have learned that as a parent there is nothing you wouldn't do to console your child...especially when they are teething. We tried it all and the only thing that really seems to soothe her is snuggling with us...well, mostly Daddy. :) Too cute!

Chloe meets Elmo!

We stopped by to see Mimi last weekend....and Chloe met Elmo! This is the 'tickle me Elmo' that rolls around on the floor laughing hysterically. The look on her face is priceless! She couldn't quite figure him out, but with her Daddy close by and after the initial shock, she seemed to like him all the same. Thank you Mimi for letting Elmo come live with Chloe! He definitely captures her attention!

Thank you Nana BB! Chloe loves her new high chair! It definitely makes feeding time so much easier! And Chloe loves feeding time!

Mommy and Daddy got Chloe her first play mat and it was a huge success too!

The Dynamic Duo!

Chloe has made her first new friend ~ Brock! Here are Chloe and Brock playing at Brock's house. Brock's Mommy has been kind enough to keep Chloe on Wednesday's for us. Brock also recently turned 1...so Chloe got to go to her 1st birthday party too and had a wonderful time. Aren't they too cute! These two are going to be T-R-O-U-B-L-E in Sunday School once Chloe gets a bit older...our prayers go out to their future Sunday School teachers. :)

Daddy's Little Girl

There is nothing more precious than these two! After a long day of work Chris came home, absolutely worn out, and went straight for Chloe..and play time began. It's amazing how your 2nd wind kicks in when you see this cute little face grinning back at you.

Not sure if you can see it or not, but Chloe's 2nd tooth is coming in...at this rate, she will be eating her first corn on the cob before we know it!
